I want to pay for my education
How can you save while you are a student?
If you don't have a huge income, there are things you can do to keep your spending in check. Here are five tips for doing just that.
Prepare a budget
A few minutes of your time will tell you how much money is going to each of your expenses every month. Them you can decide which expenses can be reduced so you can put some money aside.
Get around for less
Choose public transit rather than a car where possible. Even better: get around on foot, on skates or on a bike! That's even better for your wallet. For longer distances, why not carpool?
Plan your communications
Cell phone and Internet charges must not be left out of your budget! Comparing prices and limiting plan use are still some of the best options, if you don't want to choose prepaid cards.
Save on your shopping
Why not form a group of friends and buy in bulk? Your grocery bill could be reduced. The same holds true if you share your meals. As for other purchases, ask wherever you go whether there is a student discount. Buy things second-hand, and sell tham again when you no longer need them.
You need not spend a lot of money for your outings. Some shows are free; get-together with friends cost nothing, and you can enjoy outdoor activities at a reasonable price.
If you have a specific goal in mind, saving will be even easier, as you will be more motivated.
