The Talking money in class! contest: The AMF rewards financial education!

The Talking money in class! contest is for teachers at the primary, secondary and college levels and aims to introduce them to the many tools available in Québec to make financial education in their classroom and therefore, familiarize students with personal finance concepts. This contest is one of the most recent action of the Québec Financial Education Strategy, a project undertaken by the AMF to improve the financial health of Quebeckers.

Bourstad is a competition that simulates stock market transactions on-line, in which secondary school, Cegep and university students, as well as the general public can compete.

Participants are given a fictitious amount of $200,000, which they must use to trade on the stock markets for nine weeks. More than $30,000 in prizes are awarded to the most deserving participants.

Bourstad is produced by Cirano and sponsored by the AMF.
